  1. Treasurer’s Report

At the end of November the BYCC had a balance of £21,940 having paid out £1350 for Jubilee Fireworks, £110 for a gazebo, £316 to PRS and £240 to E-on. Overall the month showed a profit of £149.74. Richard Weaver asked about energy supplier comparisons, Carl Johnston regularly checks and E-on are the most favourable at present. The Treasurer has received a credit note from PPL for £311 but is still chasing the payment. The CIC had a balance of £11,293 at the end of November but showed a loss of approximately £662 for the month.

  1. Events

Fireworks Night was a great success with 2000 – 2500 people in attendance, the donation buckets were approximately £80 down on the previous year but the bar took £400 more. Bembridge Christmas Fair has been organised for 16th December and plans are in place for The Soup Run on 17th December. This will be a group run that only requires 6 marshals and first aid can be covered by those in attendance. Signs have been purchased for £220 but these will be suitable for future events. The Stern Room sponsorship has covered the total cost of the mugs and many local businesses have donated prizes for the draw to be held after the run. Steve Warburton agreed to donate a prize for the draw. Bryan Jones asked committee members to email him if they are available to help on the day. The change of festival date has been approved by Bembridge Parish Council so this will now be held on Saturday 25th May 2019.

  1. Any other business

Bembridge Parish Council will consider granting a license or lease for the MUGA at their December meeting.

Festoon lights have been purchased to go around the BYCC and an electrician will install them on a timer as well as the star that is to be fixed to the building.

The new website is now live, pleased with the new logo and more modern look of the website

  1. Date of next meeting

Monday 26th February at 7:30pm in the lounge.

Sarah Portwine left the meeting.

  1. Salary Review

The committee agreed a salary for the Centre Manager and that annual salary review will be held every December.
